The PanBloc fully welded heat exchanger applied in a oilfield project in Russia utilises 254SMO material for plates. The entire unit and all parts meet ASME standards.
What Problems Does It Solve?
It is specifically engineered to overcome challenges in demanding industrial environments:
Limitations of Gasketed Exchangers: It eliminates problems associated with conventional gasketed plate heat exchangers, such as chemical incompatibility of gaskets, and limitations related to high temperature and high pressure.
Leakage and Cross-Contamination: The fully welded construction ensures high sealing reliability and prevents cross-contamination and leakage between fluids, which is critical for process safety and purity.
Operation in Harsh Conditions: It is designed to handle high-pressure, high-temperature, and corrosive applications where standard heat exchangers would fail, such as in chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, and power generation processes.
Maintenance Access in Welded Units: Despite being fully welded, the bolted design allows for quick disassembly of the panels. This makes the heat transfer heart accessible for inspection, service, and mechanical cleaning.
Inflexible Thermal Performance: It includes adjustable and removable baffles that allow for easy variation of pressure drop, making it possible to precisely meet a wide range of thermal performance requirements.
